I don't think even this guy could suck as bad as fantasia however, after that utter piece of trash won I stopped watching.

Katherine didnt win for the same reason CHRIS would have - people are tired of the same shit. Hell she even nearly LOOKS like CLARKSON.

And the performances by the finalists with the artists (especially ELLIOT, CHRIS and TAYLOR) were fucking incredible.

Honestly - the knee-jerk "American Idol sucks" comments are fucking hilarious. Its a show - about singing. If it were "Babies With Knives" or "Grandma Racing: XXX" I could see folks dumping on the show. But its a shoe - about singing. The entire premise is so plain and devoid of "crap" that its impossible to diss it legitimately. Sure you can poo-poo on the filler, Ryan Seacrest and the product placement. But other than that - how is the show "crap" or "gay"?

the reason I got tired of it, is because in the end you do not get the best product, it becomes a high school popularity contest.

I bet you that alot of you feel this chick shouldnt have been in the final. Someone always gets the shaft because they voted for her because shes is eye candy or him because hes a cutie. The more talented artist usually wins but I think its just an overkill of the entire show that makes people turn in it.

remember when it 1st started you would have people sing on monday then tuesday you would have a 30 min results show.

NOW its sing on monday, sing on tuesday, special behind the scenes show on wed, and then 1 hour results show full of bullshit on thursday. they force feed the show and you spend way too much time trying to find out the results. Rather than a hour commitment a week it turned into a 3: 30 hour a week commitment then the final show turned into a 3 hour extravaganza

We used to tape the results show so we could just fast forward right to the results. It became a fucking labor to watch the show because they would have everyone sing 20 times, then show some behind the scenes feature where they all sung in a aundromat then then there new RAV4, then next to a coke machine.

HICKS will no doubt release a deep south soul album (which cant be called anything BUT SOUL PATROL), and easily could make one in the same vein as DMB, Blues Traveler, even a lil Counting Crows (with some more legitimacy behind his sound). To assume because you dont like the kind of music HICK's sings - that he cant be succesful is a little wonky.

As for the IDOL SCHEDULE - that shows me NYCK that your rants are just that - rants. The two hour season finale EXTRAVAGANZA is the ONLY results show that has been longer than 30 minutes. I dont know where this "OMGWTFBBQ" 3 hour plus shit came from but - like your manhood - it isnt rooted in reality.

IDOL kills in the ratings and boosts new/struggling shows. But FOX isnt going to overkill their baby - and they know how to get people suckling on the teat. Just admit it - this is your driving a 2006 American Bandwagon, "I Hate American Idol" styled.

Oh so that must not have been a 30 min preshow about american idol "live from the red carpet at 7:30 pm before the 2 hour finale" making a 2:30 hr block of american idol last night. Couple that with the hour singing finale tuesday and Holy fucking shit 3+ hours(math is a valuable tool my friend)

and they have in fact had idol on for 3 days. http://epguides.com/AmericanIdol/ (check the air dates) This season looks like they cut down on the multiple nights(maybe they did listen to criticism and I applaude them for it and yes I exagerated with conveying that it was 3 hours every week) but again you have such a raging hard on for anybody critizing anything you like you have to jump down their throat and throw in a few insults, make it double because it was I who said something about AI.

I never watched because I cant commit to watching tv. Im not a I have to be here at 8 pm to watch this guy. I have never seen lost or 24 or american Idol because I dont have Tivo and dont have time to sit down and watch 3 hours worth of tv a night. When I did watch it it was enjoyable I watched all of season 2 and 3 and part of 4(which is the total rape of the show with the 3 shows a week, specials etc.) I "tried" watching the new season but the crap shows at the beginning with the brutal singers was like nails on a chalkboard and I gave up.

All these shows like this get super hype and they usually air them way to much and people tire of them(Who wants to be a millionare, deal or no deal on 4 times a week) Fox did a great thing in not throwing the show on for more than 2 nights this season and will continue the success of the show for another season because of it.
