Default Mix map mod - 09-13-2002, 07:28 PM

Mix Map mod,
ok i got it to work but how do i change it to a round base match,

my rotation is
obj/obj_team1 obj/obj_team2 obj/obj_team4 dm/mohdm2 obj/dasboot

when it gets to the detroyed village it a respawn death match not a round base one, any idea what i have done wrong.
i have set the server to start obj

Thanks

You need to tell the mod that you want to switch the gametype. I dunno the exact command, but I know it's number-coded. DM = 1, TDM = 2, RB:TDM = 3, and OBJ = 4. So, just look for the line that contains the 4, and replace it with 3.

Dunno, did you follow the readme to the T? Maybe you would want to consider emailing Crow King if you don't get any other answers. All I know is that RudeDog had some issues with it, and he decided not to use it.

The mod is set up so all of the dm maps will be respawn death match (game type 2). If you want something different, you can edit the pk3 file zzzzuser_zmixmaps.pk3 and change the game type. Inside the pak file, you'll need to edit

maps\DM\mohdm2.scr

At the top of the file, you'll see the line

//Mix Maps mod by Crow King
setcvar "g_gametype" "2" //TDM

Just change the 2 to whatever you want.

By default, windows thinks a file ending with scr is a screensaver. You have to right click on it and select "Open with" and use Notepad or any other text editor.

you got it

Note that if you want to switch maps from within the console while you're playing and the map you're going to has a different game type, you'll need to change the sv_gametype cvar in the console before loading the new map.
