I have heard an unconfirmed report that the guy lined people up and killed them execution style. That would explain why so many were killed in a short time. Usually with these shootings you see far more injuries than deaths because the shooters don't have great aim and everyone is running around everywhere, this report would explain that pretty well if it is true.

Still, that doesn't make much sense either. The guy has a finite amount of ammo. Lining them up or not he couldn't have simply gone down a line of 40+ people in a matter of seconds.

One possibility is along the lines of the stories from 9/11 that were basically "Hi guys, I'm Mohammed and I'll be your hijacker today, there's a bomb on this plane but don't worry because we're going right back to the airport! Enjoy your flight!"

I know on the bottom of Foxnews tv ticker, it mentioned something before along the lines of "Witness: Gunman asian in his 20's. Looking for his girlfriend lined people up and opened fire"
