It's a type of music that goes over 160 beats per minute. It also sounds happy, and is sometimes accompanied by a chipmunk type singing. I actually like happy hardcore. :P

Sounds like another puss filled pile of shit genre of music from a sub culture of trendy turds. Not trying to step on anyone's toes here, but "techno" is shit. Always has been, always will be. Constant and repetative beats with (every once in a blue moon) lyrics which dont add up to a pile of shit. Sounds great, if you're braindead.

Techno gets annoying, some Techno is ok at times, but, most of it gives me a headache, on the other hand, Heavy Metal gives me a headache no matter what.

Techno schmechno. If you like it, cool. I think it's talentless droning.
I'll take Iron Maiden, thanks.

Sure, if people like it fine, but I still think it's puss. And yeah, I'd take Iron Maiden (even though I'm not their biggest fan ever) over "techno" anyday aswell.
Whatever floats your boat I guess.

Wow, some people here have obviously never listened to techno. There's like ten different types of techno. I listen to lots of it, beecause it gives me a feeling of galloping through outer space, and I have never listened to any techno with a single beat and no melody in it, except for industrial techno, and I hate that crap too.
