I haven't played much, when i got it to start up it defaulted to very high settings. looked like a slideshow, so I put everything down to high settings and it was still pretty choppy. so i put everything down to medium and it runs smooth.
will have to tweak around but if i have to run this game on medium settings with a quad core and 8800 ultra then

Have to take into consideration though that the 8800 series is almost a year old, the ultras the fastest card available but at the same time its basically just a tweaked gtx which was released around november last year. Won't be long till theyre superceded either.

Odd, im assuming 2 gigs of ram for that. Im running all highs, except medium on shadows. Nvidia cards always seem to hate shadows and chug with em.
"So DX10 is Vista-only? Rubbish. The PC gaming crowd have found a way to enable many of the "DX10-exclusive" graphical touches in EA's Crysis for users running XP, and it doesn't even require a hack. It takes a quick edit of a config file (as in, cutting and pasting ONE LINE), and voilÃ*, you've got pretty much the same pretty sun and water effects as those suckers who forked out for Vista. You can cut and paste a single line of text, right?"
