first make sure the avatar file is in the proper format. it should be a .tga file and named either allies.tga or axis.tga

then download this app if you dont have it already

http://www.valve-erc.com/files/?file=/f ... pe-011.zip

1. on your desktop create a new folder and name it textures

2. inside that folder create another one called hud

3. place your allies.tga and/or axis.tga files into the hud folder.

4. close up all your windows so that you're back at the desktop staring at the textures folder.

5. after you've unzipped Pakscape go ahead and start it up.

6. under File, select New

7. then somehow drag the textures folder from the desktop into the Pakscape window.

8. then under File select Save As...

9. in the 'save as' window type whatever name you want eg. user-myavatars

10. in the Type pull-down menu choose Quake 3 Pak (*.pk3)

11. click save to save. oh you should also choose where you want to save it to, i'd save it to desktop for simplicity.

12. close down Pakscape 'cause you're done with it now.

so if all goes well you should have a .pk3 file on your desktop named whatever you named it. and this file goes directly into your main folder. incase you dont know where that is here is the typical directory path (depends on where you installed the game.)

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\MOHAA\main

start-up mohaa and see if it works!! biggrin:
