If their extrapolation made ANY sense, I would be the perfect soldier. Alas,
the idea that video games are a training ground for killers is erroneous for
many reasons: you don't learn to shoot pistols and rifles through the use of
a mouse, as much as some would want you to believe. Also, consider how
many millions of people play violent games all day long: why aren't they on
killing sprees ? The games themselves are harmless: the minority that DO
get affected, however, had prior unresolved issues. The games are not the
cause... but many would want you to think so, as a scapegoat is usually
needed for one to feel like his actions are always perfect and in no way can
contribute to problems...
