Ok. sorry but I'm a little bias on this one.

I would say
M1A1 Thompson
BAR
anything German ( all the H&K stuff including the MG42 post and pre war)
AK has to be in the list. It may be widely used but that's because it's cheap to manufacture and the Russians flooded the market along with the Chinese. I would recommend a Hungarian AK-47 over all others
