My favourite sub-genre of any kind of music is Jazz-Rap, I could list off an encyclopedia's worth of good artists....here's a few personal classic albums though (Obviously you'll have a few of these already but I dunno what your playlist looks like so I'll just list 'em all off)... biggrin:

Start off with the ones in bold because you'll def like those...

Digable Planets - Blowout Comb
Digable Planets - Reachin'
Jazz Addixx - Oxygen
Guru - Jazmatazz Vol. 1, 2, 3
Ugly Duckling - Journey To Anywhere
Typical Cats - Typical Cats
Souls Of Mischief - '93 Til Infinity
Slum Village - Fantastic Volume ONE (Alot harder to find than volume 2 - not so much jazz sampled as it is a jazzy sounding soulful jay dee-produced gem)
Lone Catalysts - Good Music
Eric B & Rakim - Don't Sweat The Technique
Lone Catalysts - Hip Hop
Artifacts - Between A Rock & A Hard Place
All Natural - No additives, No preservatives
Large Professor - First Class
3582 (Fat Jon & J.Rawls) - The Living Soul
3582 (Fat Jon & J.Rawls) - Situational Ethics
J.Rawls - The Essence Of...
KMD - Black Bastards (MF Doom's crew from the early 90s, when he was Zef Luv X)
KMD - Mr Hood
The Pharcyde - The Bizarre Ride 2
J-Live - The Best Part
Pete Rock & CL Smooth....Any album by these two is golden.
Pete Rock & INI - Lost And Found
Organized Konfusion - Stress: The Extinction Agenda
The Mission (Crown City Rockers) - One
Crown City Rockers - Earthtones
K-Otix - Universal
Cali Agents - How The West Was Won
Black Sheep - A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing
Jeru The Damaja - Wrath Of The Math (Entirely produced by DJ Premier)
Jeru The Damaja - Sun Rises To The East (Entirely produced by DJ Premier)
Common - Like Water For Chocolate
Common - Resurrection
Asheru - Insomnia Vol.1

Then of course theres the obvious People Under The Stairs, A Tribe Called Quest, Gang Starr, De La Soul, Poor Righteous Teachers, etc

...and then there's the early to mid 90s dark east coast jazz-influenced era artists - Typically, but not always, a bit more gangsta than the above listed more alternative artists...albums like:

OGC - Da Storm
Onyx - BacDaFucUp
Sadat X - Wild Cowboys
Smif-N-Wessun - Dah Shinin'
Mobb Deep - The Infamous
Nas - Illmatic
Lords Of The Underground - Here Comes The Lords
Lords Of The Underground - Keepers Of The Funk
Lord Finesse - Return Of The Funky Man
Lord Finesse - The Awakening
Black Moon - Enta Da Stage
Biggie Smalls - Ready To Die
M.O.P - To The Death
Ill Al Skratch - Creep Wit Me
Brand Nubian - In God We Trust
Brand Nubian - Everything Is Everything
Das Efx - Hold It Down
Heltah Skeltah - Nocturnal
Group Home - Livin Proof (Entirely produced by Dj Premier)
Diamond & The Psychoatic Neurotics - Stunts, Blunts & Hiphop
Big L - Lifestyles Of Da Poor & Dangerous

....Whew! That was fun lol beer:
