Default Atmosphere lost in SH - 11-10-2002, 07:31 PM

I know everyone is tired of anti-SH rants, so I'll try not to be a "whiner." How do you feel about the atmosphere created in the SH demo?

Both maps have completely lost touch of what MOH is all about. There's no more atmosphere anymore... you don't feel like you're on a WWII battlefield. Oh c'mon, Malta feels like WW2? LOL. Remember The Hunt, Destroyed Village? True, AA has some of the same feel, as maps like V2, Southern France, etc don't seem to fit into the ww2 battlefield category. But I wish EA would have provided some indication that the submersive ww2 atmosphere would remain intact.

Then the fact that an option to have "fast" run speed is available kills the game, at least kills the movement that made MOH unique. All these people running around at warp speed, is this an exp pack for MOH or UT?!?! Making it the default selection means a huge selection of 5 normal servers to choose from.

MOH set itself apart from the rest of the pack by being MOH. Now it's just a carbon copy of the masses, with ww2 weapons and a nade launching mauser.

Sorry to be another bandwagon "I hate SH" rider, but I guess I'm just really dissapointed. So much potential lost...
