To be honest, I don't think I have ever played a game made by Bioware, although the name seems familiar. You may be right, so I think maybe I will give it a try first, since it is made by Bioware which seems a pretty high standard then.
Do you disagree in general or only in this particular case, since the developer is Bioware?

Bioware made the Baldur's Gate games, and Neverwinter Nights. Great games, and I had Planescape, but couldn't quite get into it, though it was quite fun.

There's no doubt that the fact that it is Star Wars is a drawing point, but, as I said, all the previews I have read about it have nothing bad to say about the game. Check out the Baldurs Gate series, Neverwinter Nights (some people dont like, but I enjoyed it) these will give you a fairly good idea of what to expect as far as the gameplay goes. This game isnt going to be a rehash chopjob of Episode 1 like all those other cash ins were, and believe me, I didnt touch one of them because they were honestly all shit. This game is in a different time period, different characters, different war. That in itself should be enough to get people interested. It's set about 1000 years prior to Episode 1, back during the days when the Jedi Knights and the Sith (Darth Vader/Emperor) numbered in the thousands, not the hundreds.
This game will be coming out on the Xbox first...should be in June, the PC version will be out later in the year.

looks a little like Jedi Outcast, I don't know if I get it but I'm sure my borther will, he's the bigger Jedi Knight/Jedi Outcast nut.
I'm not a big Jedi Knight series fan, I would prefer something like a Medal of Honor type thing where you're like Han Solo or just a rebel trooper not a Jedi. too many damn puzzles too, if a Imperial ship/station is designed so stupid stormies can navigate through it why is it a friggin' maze with puzzle locks???
anyway, that game looks cool though, so I'll have to see if teh damo is any good.

It's not an FPS, it's an RPG. Dont expect gameplay like Jedi Outcast.

Too bad developers always have to convince people like me who, after hearing another Star Wars/Star Trek/Real-Time-Strategy-Clone/The A-Team adventure comes out immediately think of it as must-be-rubbish...
I'll see, a demo is always worth trying. However, I think I will need a new computer along with it.

Man, I couldn't agree more regarding JKII. Loved the game, hated the puzzles. Any game that I need a walkthrough for isn't worth the frustration.
Good to hear that this isn't a re-hashing of JKII...RPG's are kewl.

For those of you who enjoyed JKII, there was inklings of information not long ago about there being an addon or a completely new title in the Jedi Knight series. Dont know much else, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed, JKII was awesome. Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars Galaxies = lots of hours behind the computer in the coming months. biggrin:

From what I understand, this game is supposed to be more task driven than puzzle oriented.

No shit, the game lost me after about an hour of walking around looking for stupid switches.
As for RPG's? No thanks.
