lol, those kids were SOOO nice. I wish they were over here in America cause i want to talk to them again. They played this one game that sort of looks like "knife fighting" in the music video "thriller". It's soooo funny to watch. Instead of trying to slash eacother, they go and try to grab the other guys crotch and smack it! LOL. They looked so funny when they played hahaa, i am laughing right now from just thinking about it.

I know how it works, because I'm signed up for it.
huuuh, US Army Infantry BCT is 13 weeks long in Fort Benning, GA + one or more weeks at reception battalion. Enlistments range from 2-6 years. I recieved the extra option of Airborne School upon completion of BCT. Plus, garanteed assignment at Fort Bragg (82nd). Marines BCT is also 13 weeks, and divided geographically where you attend it. West US goes to San Diego, East goes Pharris Island SC. All Marines are taught as Infantry anyway, so there are no other forts or camps to attend for "special" jobs until AIT. If anyone saw the History Channel "Basic Training" show for the army, throw that piece of shit out the window. That's how the non Combat-Arms (ei Mechs, Accountants, Clerical, CA's, Secretaries, you know, the real pussy jobs biggrin: ) are trained. Any of the other ones, (Benning, Knox, etc.) are where the people that are doin the fightin are trained. These BCT Centers are MUCH different than the others. So don't think they will be easy at all. Not by a long shot. I know Fort Jackson was tough for the recruits on that show, they probably yelled at them twice, but I hope they will stop crying long enough to listen at what the big, mean drill sergeant has to say next cry: . Benning is up there with the Marines' since it's Infantry, although not as crazy oOo: (please, Marines don't kill me over this). Hope this clarified anyone that was still confused. Great, now Im gonna have the Marines on this forum all over my ass since im in the "weak" army, according to them. Please don't flame war me. It's all in good fun my fellow Comrades biggrin: biggrin:

Go Airborne. I had my Airborne infantry contract with Ranger option. 4 year contract. ALL Army contracts are for 10 years of service. 2-6 active then the remainder of that 10 you can be recalled to active duty.
As for you PFC11b. Depending on what time you join you can expect to be fucked at 30th AG reception batallion for a MONTH! Yeah i got stuck there for a month then the half way house for a week or two them finnally was put into training. All that time you cant run only push ups and sit ups. I recommed doing leg lifts, elevated sit ups, turn and bounce's, jumping jacks, (side stradle hop in army lingo), anything weighting 8 pounds you should do arm excercises with. Those are just some good things to have going into basic they will try and break your abs and arms. Running isnt to hard, i was a runner before entering. MARCH... FUCKING MARCH, go get a 30 lbs ruck sack and go speed walk for 4 hours... That is the best thing i can tell you. Everything in basic is easy except the road long road marches. They are speed walks 4mph+ never be the last platoon on a long march you'll get strung out and you'll end up running parts.

I think Germany and some of those European countries s like, 19 to 21 required. I think that is a good idea, but I guess some people aren't cut ouit for military life. So maybe some sort of educational and physical teasting, which I am sure they proably do anyways.

If you'd read my post closer, you would know I was talking about the INFANTRY BCT at Benning, not any of the other BCT's. The Infantry have just a few more things for combat to learn than a mechanic or accountant. Plus it is an OSUT (One Station Unit Training) School, combining BCT and AIT together. Much more effecient.
Thanks for the tips Miscguy. I've still got over 4 months till I leave, and I scored myself on a PT test at over 250. Thats also Up here in Colorado. Elevation. That makes a big difference I've been told. However the God Damn humidity is the only thing I will have a problem with.
