the only one worthy of being in a professinal band is the drummer.
He's pretty good, but I think one or both of the guitar players were guitar instructors so I think they'd be good enough to play pretty much anything or with anybody. Guitar is HARD believe me, I've tried. If you can pull something resembling music from those things you've got my respect.

[quote:47059]There are still all those other teenage angst bands like Disturbed and Spineshank and stuff. Killing off Slipknot would just make them more mad at the world.[/quote:47059]

I find it just a little telling that these groups well into their 30's are still hung up on teen-angst. I mean I had angst as a teen but if I had Mr Peabodys way-back machine Id kick my ass and tell myself to get the fuck over it.

Im down with that. Teach out youth the value of pimping, smack'n suckah bitches down, and how to serve a drive-by.

You're SOOOO right. Though, joey jordison (the drummer) is easily the most talented member in the band. But they're all good.
Out of current drummers, joey is EASILY number 2, right behing Portnoy

Neil Peart always has and always will be the best progressive rock drummer on the fucking planet...period.

No Neil Peart, no Mike Portnoy.
No Neil Peart, no Danny Carey.

If you think anything else, you're fooling yourself.

Nick Barker (fomer Dimmu Borgir and Old Man's Child drummer) was pretty fucking amazing. Some of the best I've ever heard.

I wonder why he left Dimmu...

Didnt think you would have a link because it never happened. You seem to mistake them for Ramstein.

They would've been touring and recording around the same time (early/mid 70s).

Nothing's to say that your fave drummer couldn't have been a contemporary colleague, I s'pose.
