Reminds me of when the Kiwis were at Portsmouth Navy base & instead of hoisting up the White Ensign to fly during colours they hoisted up a WRENS knickers ed: biggrin: rock:

Quite a while back, sometime in the 40s I think but it made quite an impact. The whole Base formed up for divisions & they salute some black knickers on the flagpole instead of the White Ensign rock:
