Ive actually yet to see that happen, usually i get the panzerfaust and go blow the fuck out of it again. Not very realistic that a tiger tank would be chugging about a battlefield with its hatch unlocked though. eek:

its the one right before you go to destroy the mortars. Not the one that breaks through the wall, the one after that one.

Its basically mimixking the part out of saving pvt ryan wher they drop 3 grenades in through the tank hatch. Unlike spr though you probably get an explosion. Never forget that bit in the movie, 3 nades and u dont hear shit, talk about a glaring oversight. oOo:

It was a nice touch seeing the AI do something team oriented. Sure, it was scripted, but still cool to see. At least it wasnt a cut scene, and it added to overall feel that it wasnt just you against the whole german army.

I read somewhere that tankers preferred to leave the hatches unlocked during combat, so they could open them and escape if they were injured, whereas it would be nearly impossible to unlock and escape while wounded.
Also one would assume that Tigers don't generally attack without infantry support (which they had).

Tiger = open field tank, not a city fighting tank. Plus hes right the hatches are unlocked incase it takes a direct hit and catches fire, you can bale out quicker

Yeah but in any type of fighting environment especially against the americans they didn't have much to worry about as the sherman was about as effective as a peashooter against the tiger. Ive read on a lot of sites that tigers did not go into combat situations with their hatches unlocked. Even that scene with the tank commander sitting with his hatch open talking to a soldier was blasted by a lot of re-enactment groups saying that would not have happened.
As far as historical accuracey goes, spr is not accurate in a lot of ways and just plain bullshit propoganda in others, all skinhead germans anyone? oOo:

Yeah, MOH:AA robbed the Omaha scene from SPR, CoD robbed the part where they blow up the Tiger. As long as it looks cool as hell, who cares! heh

The video of the stalingrad level of COD look like htey could be frame for frame reproductions of enemy at the gates. The normandy scenes are strait out of BoB. They look cool and remind me of movies I dug. But I think one guy had a pin on the wrong lapel. rolleyes:

When they take scenes from movies and throw them into games- it sells the game. People watch SPR and then see MOH:AA has the Ohama level and want to play it.
Whatever helps them make more money, ya know?
