iPods don't break anymore than any other MP3 player.
You know why there are more cases of it breaking? Because 1000x as many people have iPods as all other MP3 players combined.

that only happens after about a year - 2years. not a big problem at all
|
So why is that not a big problem? A year- 2years is not a very long time, I would certainly want it to last longer than that if I paid all that money for it.
And Akuma, I bought a Dell DJ at the same time my brother bought his iPod and his has terrible battery life compared to mine.
|
considering im on my 2nd ipod for free in the last 3 years, that doesnt seem like a big problem. if it was every month that it would die, then yeah that would be a problem. but after 2 years its not a big problem at all imo. lots of shit doesnt even last 2 years. take a look at hard drives, lots of them fail within months. other computer hardware somtimes doesnt even last 2 years. and with the ipod you can get a replacement for as little as $75. and whatever type of ipod they have then too
|
who wants to get two in 3 years? and why should you settle to have to pay anything at all? you're saying it's fine if your ipod breaks, cause it only costs $75? I would rather buy a player that wouldn't break in the first place so I don't have to pay ANYTHING.

did you read what akuma said? if not i suggest go up a few posts and read it. and you do not have to send it in at all. say you buy it at best buy, or compusa. if you want a new one, go to the store, show them receipt, and boom you have a no one no questions asked.

creative zens blow and you know it dance:
ive had a like olddd ass ipod for 4 years now, it still works absolutely fine to this day with battery lasting just as long as ever, but my father uses it now as he got me a newer photo colour ipod which works just as fine. Dont believe most of the bullshit floating about complaints, most are fake and made by creative zen owners that want to justify themselves buying the 2nd place product.
anyway psp is pretty damn hot for all the things you can do, surf net, listen to music, watch movies, look at your photos, let alone play games. Id say if you want a decent digital music player to play your music on, and put your whole music library on then get the ipod, its smaller and does what its supposed todo, if your looking for something that does more than that but is limited to only a 1-2gb storage then go with the psp.

I'm just stating what I've observed. I know 3 people who bought iPod alternatives that still work great and 2 who have iPods that do not work like they did when the bought them. That's what I've seen, that's what i'm going on
and Himmler, my point is, why buy it if you are going to have to put extra effort into it? it would be easier to just buy an ipod alternative that does the same thing (for less $$$) and NOT have to take it back...
