ya right man, you know nothing about the band blink 182 obviously, u judge their entire career on one our two songs u heard and have seen on mtv, if u knew anything about the band, u would obviously know their music style has changed after each cd, neither cd is the same, their style of music evolves in each cd, you cant really say that with most hardcore metal, it always sounds like the same old angry shit, it really gets old after a few songs heh, while blinks songs ranged widely depending on which song of which cd you chose from, so ya respect other forms of music besides your own, xspecially when u dont know what the hell your talkin about annoy:

...I liked Cheshire Cat, Buddha, and Dude Ranch....But then Travis joined the band and I kinda lost interest... It's sad that they're done, they always put on a good show.

saying that i dont know what i talk about when the topic is music is a BIG mistake. first, the thing that makes you like music is if there is a good beat to the song. second, if you like guitars, drums, and bass then metal is the way to go if you want to hear alot of skill. third, like i said, slipknot isnt hardcore metal, listen to something good! jesus... how many metal bands have you heard of? today's radio stations are filled with emo and rap, so if you look in magazines and online, you will find good metal bands. sonata arctica is a power metal band, they dont sound angry. its all on the style, genre, and taste. if you despise distortion and growling, then dont listen to black or death metal. check out something else. if you dont like metal in general, then there is something wrong with you. there is always at least one song that catches your ear, you may not know the song name, band name or even buy their album, but you liked that song. blink never really showed any talent whatsoever, if they did, please, direct me to this and i will check it out and change my view, but until then, they didnt have an amazing drummer, a great guitarist, a decent bassist, or superb singer. honestly, i dont see how listening to a band without any type of solos can be entertaining. when i listen, i like to hear the band play to their full potential and i find it amazing.

People don't like em cause they were popular... That's the truth. Now a days it's cool to be anti pop or anti anti... I wasn't a 'fan' of Blink182. I enjoyed a few of their songs and thought they were catchy and had a good beat to a few of em.
