The Contra code is the most famous button code of all time. It has been permanently etched into my brain. It gives (gave?) you 30 lives.

What I want to know is: Why isn't Pong on the list? That game started it all.

LOL. Yes, yes indeed!

I would add:

FINAL FANTASY TACTICS
Playstation
1997

The first game to make SoLiDUS waste entire math classes talking about it
with his buddy sitting behind him and also one of the first games to enthrall
him from 4pm to bed time, conveniently discarding homework for the sake
of "one more fight for experience and JP".

biggrin:

You fuckers! I hate you ! Just when my world was starting to balance / even
out, a NEW FF Tactics is coming out; this time, for Gameboy Advance! ed: happy:

[quote:1e65e]Originally planned as an "enhanced port" of the PSX/PSOne Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance has taken on a life of its own as an entierly new game under the direction of the original game creator, Yasumi Matsuno. According to Square, the game will feature all-new scenario and "improved gameplay" as well as link-cable support for multiplayer battles.

Game :: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Developer :: Square
Publisher :: Square Japan
Genre :: RPG
Medium :: Cartridge
Platform :: Gameboy Advance

Release Date
:: 02/14/2003[/quote:1e65e]

Needless to say, I will have to buy it and play incessantly until I totally
master it, just like I mastered FF VII and Tactics (which is simply the best
game, bar none).
