Default MOHAA keeps crashing - 12-24-2002, 01:41 PM

I just got MOHAA & the Spearhead expansion.... I can't play MOHAA due to it keeps crashing.. I have no idea why its doing this although It seems to be atrend with EA games as my BF 1942 will crash 1s in a while.. Anyway.. Here is my specs...

Gigabytle GA7-VRX Mobo
Athlon XP 2000+
Win XP Pro
GF4 Ti 4200 with 41.09 drivers
SB Audigy
512 MB Ram

I can't get past the initial truck ride in MOHAA.... It will crash. I have the 1.11 patch. I have tried (Enable conformant OpenGL Texture clamp behavior) I've tried a lower resolution, & I have tried letting the game auto config... Any help or a possible fix would be great or this thing is going back to the store asap!

That used to happen to me a lot. So if you are just going to play the single player game do this... Before you start playing shut down all things running in the background with ctrl+alt+delete, Except EXPLORER and SYSTRAY. Then go to internet options and under the connections tab select NEVER DIAL A CONNECTION. That is what i did and my game never crashed after that. And you should be able to run it in normal mode too. I'm no computer expert, but that is what i did and it helped.

To sum up what Butch said, he means you need to upgrade your video card drivers, But you already have them.

Hmm. . .

We can try to do a fresh install:

http://mohaa.xgshosting.com/joe/installguide.htm

Do that, and let me know if there is any difference. Follow it to the T, plz!

You can try to use SP1, but I recommend that whomever plays games, espically using OpenGL, to just get the hotfixes. There's a .DLL issue for games like GTA3 and BF1942 that causes extreme slowdowns in video graphics with the SP.
