Hi there Newt..Hi Maple....

Sorry i didnt mean to forget or ignore the very important Canadian part in WW2,(which i think can at times be overlooked, just like the efforts of the Polish Forces or The Scottish forces in WW2).. Id like a good Canadian Commando skin, Dieppe era or Juno Beach period,I didnt mention the Canadians as i have a good Canadian skin pack I d/loaded a while ago (cant remember the author) in which the uniforms and details are great but they are wearing American style helmets and not British which is a pity....A Canadian Sniper (or Polish) would be excellent as these days people like Khryz can design a British style helmet......

Glad you like the skin idea Newt and i hope some other skinners may be interested in doing some, if any, of my sugestions which take their fancy!!! photos of subjects/Uniforms/Kit can be taken from the Net and i can help with reference materials/Historical accuracy........

Best Wishes....

Rab Watson

This soldier isn't exactly in winter sorts. This is uniform which was used by Polish Army in Norway campain (under Narvik, polish units was part of allied corps) and Polish Army in France campain 1940. This rifle in hand is propably french MAS-36 rifle. Krzysztof

Default Scottish Highlander Skins - 02-20-2003, 05:47 PM

Rabkatkay: There is a Scottish Highland skin available. I've D/Led it from AlliedAssault.us. Has the MarkII helmet and everything.

Maple: I'm working on transforming that into a proper Canadian Uniform, with permission from the author. I've been battling with transporting the MII Helmet from DoD for a while, and found this skin that did it successfully. I'm going to play with the SKD and see if I can get the med pack morphed into the model. I'll let everyone know how I do with the skin.

Give me some regimental patches (Pat's Light (in honour), etc...)

Captain Canuck.
