Default USING A PROXY. . .STEP BY STEP - 08-15-2003, 12:44 PM

No this isnt a STEP BY STEP guide. I WANT to know how to use one. Specifically it seems a site has blocked the server I'm on at work, so I need to know how to use a PROXY to get around it.

Speak in laymans terms, I'm both BLACK and IGNORANT about this so thats two strikes against me.

Since this is MY thread any derailing will get deleted.

Download admuncher http://www.admuncher.com/AM-Install.exe

When its installed rightclick on its icon in task bar.

Go to configure,tools,ip scramble.

Click retreieve test list.

Then click start checking.

When the verified proxy list box gets some ips in it check the enable ip scramble box.

Hit apply and thats it.

Its basicallly a proxy program as well as an ad remover program. Just "scrambles" (proxies) your ip.

Dont need to wait any, as soon as the verified list has some ip's click the enable scramble thing and u can browse the sites, might be a bit slower though, to disable it just right click the icon in task bar and select disable ip scramble.

K far left hand side box is the list of verified ip's. Middle box is the list of test ips, it gets ips and runs them through to check what ones wor. Whatever ones work get shifted to the "verified" box on the far left. What you need to do is click retreive test list, then click the start checking option. As soon as you see ips appear in the far left hand box click stop checking then check the box saying enable ip scramble. Hit apply and thats it

Ok this is what happens - click on RETRIEVE LIST, then it puts it into the TEST AREA, and says connecting for each PROXY. Do I need to wait for the program to put IPS in the far left box or am I doing that manually. That's where I'm getting all tossed around about. Cause the first time it went through I left came back and there was nothing there.

And how do you run a traceip.

And folks see if you can navigate to this website. . .
