heck i dont like metallica that much but id always choose to listen to them rather than the beatles. bealtes in their day were the shit, fair enough but that was nearly 50 years ago and the reason theyve sold so much is because ITS BEEN THAT LONG. i dont take in consideration how many albums or whatever anyones sold because alot of the population of the world who buy that shit are fucken asshats. so metallica for me. old metallica.
You even mention Metallica in the same breath as The Beatles..?...AAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHHH AAAAAH
HHAHAHAHAHHAHHHAHAHAH....*gasp*...BWAAHAHAHHAHAHAH HAHAHHAHHAHAHAAAAAA!!! biggrin:
Obviously Metallica isn't the same calliber as the Beatles, but, I thought this was about what type of music you liked, not how many records they sold.

Ok, please, you cant compare the 2 at all, thats comparing two totally different things. Beatles are awesome because they are just the Beatles, they have such an army of fans, they were unique in so many ways. They have talented music writing and catchy songs. Metallica on the other hand is a powerful band with powerful songs and meanings. Their songwriting is decent, but the solos are shit (yea, i said it). I love metallica, they got me into EVERYTHING im into, but i can admit they arent as talented as other bands i know. you cant compare the two to each other, they are both better than each other in different ways. Personally, I think Dream Theater is better than both of them put together.
