Quaz:

I'm not having the reinstall problem-just interested and trying to follow your post.

1. I opened/looked at CD-1--inni file--saw this:

2.[Startup]
AppName=MOHAA
ProductGUID=0dea94ed-915a-4834-a87e-388d012c8e02
[Languages]
Default=0x0009
count=1
key0=0x0009

So, what did you do to correct the failure to reinstall problem?

1. Delete MOH

2. Clean the registry

3. reinstall

???

Here I have an easier solution I used. If you have two cd drives inluding a cd burner put a disc in each one and when the installation is halfway complete at the prompt use the other drive to finish installation. Easy.

Go to windows directory..

open up regedit

Click: editFind

Paste in that number: 0dea94ed-915a-4834-a87e-388d012c8e02

Click Find Next

Hit the Delete key on Your Keyboard & hit enter Or Ok

Repeat process for the words: EA Games, MOHAA & Or Medal...

Warning: read what is in EVERY Line BEFORE DELETING!!!!!

This is a very touchy file Your messing with.......

I Take NO responsability for any corruption You incur for deleting the incorrect lines!!!!!!

P.S. I was concered originally about the number being specific to each CD so I didnt post My number..

However since someone else has posted the Exact same number I have since ruled out that this number

"0dea94ed-915a-4834-a87e-388d012c8e02"

Is NOT specific to each CD Set..

So search reg edit for this number & delete the string

laters

I had to recently Re-install due to MOD Install removal problems...

For some reason I just couldnt get to th Install part, It just kept getting me to the dialog where it asks you if You want to repair, remove or some other stuff...

So I first went into Regedit & searched for any string that had the word Medal in it & removed it..

Then i did another search for strings that had EA Games in them & removed them also...

Still kept taking me to the repair, remove etc.. screen.

So I went into the CD files & started searching for something that it would have installed that wouldnt ponit to the Makers or the game name & Viola...

If You are haveing this same problem...

follow everything I did & You will be able to install

the last thing I searched for was this:

on the CD "1" there is a file named: Setup.ini

open that with ANY text editor or what ever & copy the whole line that has "ProductGUID="

there is a Large number & letter line after that..

thats what held Me up

Now Im back & ready to Kill again!!!
