just got a call from my wife. she says some animal lover (sarcasm) skinned a cat and stapled it to a telephone pole ala jesus on zee cross about half a block from my house oOo:

From what I can gather, it sounds like a ritual sacrifice. Scalping of a cat is supposed to get rid of bad luck, and stapling it to a tree is supposed to appease to the god of.. ah fuck it I got nothing

Seen that kinda stuff over here in the last few months, some guys cat got nailed to his backdoor. And a couple of months back up the road from me an alsatian got hung from a tree by a noose. =/
