Arlight, at my work, people have been going on Vacation, which means, I get more hours, I worked 32 hours last week and got time in a half. my last day off was LAST monday. now my schedual for this week is 28 hours. I booked off this saturday cuz I wanted to go my friends b-day party, and I was schedualed in.

Now, I co-worker of mine (will call her Shelly) Now, Shelly, ALSO booked off TODAY (monday) but never got it. so she called up another part time worker ( lets call him dave) I also work with, to ask to change shifts (this guy really doesnt like her cuz of things in the past) anyways, he sed he would cover her shift so she would work his shift on tuesday. Now, I asked her to take my shift for saturday cuz I was schedualed in, she sed "only if u take my Thursday shift cuz im not gonna work both" I sed ok, that's fine

so, so far. "shelly" is taking 'daves' shift for tuesday and dave is taking shelly's shift for monday. and im tkaing her shift for thursday and she's taking my shift for saturday

now. last night I didnt go to bed at all, because I was asleep all day yesterday and Iw asnt tired at night, and since I had to START work at 8am TODAY I would have to wake up at 6:30 cuz I had to walk 30mins in the freezing cold. so there was no point for sleeping for two hours just to be even more tired. now I was done at 12pm my friend called me sed he's picking me up. I get home around 1pm (did some stuff)

Since I havent been to sleep in over 24 hours, I passed out as soon as I got home. At about 3:30pm, I get a call on my cell phone, (now keep in mind im in a deep sleep) Shelly is calling me. I pick it up and say hello, i sound like im dead right. we talk and shit. and then asked this

Shelly - "Umm.. you're prolly not going to want to do this, but..... Dave just called me and he sed he can't take my shift for tonight, im so pissed. Now I was wondering if you can take it for me...please?"

Me - "[in half asleep voice] umm what?.. uhh.. i was sleeping right now and i havent been bed in 24 hours.. and I just worked this morning and I really dont feel like walking back there. plus I already have enough hours for this week"

Shelly - "Ill take the thursday shift if you want"

Me - " nah man. i donht feel like changing shifts and shit anymore, its done"

Shelly - " I really need tonight off, please?"

Me - " look, I dont want to come in again to work alright, im REALLY tired ok? so no im not gonna come in"

Shelly - " *gasp* [ silence for a couple seconds )

- ok at this point this, thid girl is fucking CRYING for fuck sakes -

Me - " oh my! WWHY ARE U CRYING? LOOK I CANT AWLAYS SAY YES OK? I ALWAYS COVER FOR YOU WHEN YOU ASKED AND YOU WOULDN'T EVEN TAKE SOME SATURDAY SHIFTS FOR ME WHEN I ASKED YOU! WHY DO I GOTTA PAY FOR DAVE'S FUCK UPS? HE DOESNT COME IN TO WORK AND I GOTTA GET THIS SHIT? WTF? I ALREADY FUCKIN WORKED THIS MORNING, IM NOT COMING BACK IN TODAY" (note: i wasnt reeally yelling into the phone, just had my voice reised alittle)

Shelly - "[sobing voice] (silence for a mintute) im.....im... gonna get off...t he phone now... did kim (another lady who we work with) work today?"

Me - " no, u should have called her first instead of me, it seems whenever everyone wants something for them they always come crawling to me"]

shelly - " [sobing voice] ok, im gonna now..."

Me - "Ill see you tomorrow ok?"

Shelly - "[sniffleing] no you wont........, thanks (sarcastically)"

Me - " You're Welcome ( casually)" biggrin:

there was alot more to the convo, but I cant remember it all, but thats' basically it.

so, yea, I was pretty damn proud I didnt give in to her crying, ive always did her favours when she asked, and as soon I dont do one, im a complete asshole to her, wtf? I cant beleive she fuckin cried, it was ridiculous. I always told myself I gotta say no and today I put my foot down. IO was laughing pretty hard at the whole situation. im not gonna get pussy whipped and go on my hands and knees and say "OMG YES I WILL< FOR YOU!" fuck

This is the second time I made someone cry at my work. the other time this lady thought I was bitching at her cuz it was her idea to call me in and well, I really didnt like that, cuz it's ALWAYS ME they call. i wasnt too happy that day. but I wasnt really bitching at her.

So yea, what do you guys think? was it right to not take her shift. I think it was. I just worked that morning and she called me while I was in deep sleep and my last day off was last monday and im next day off is this saturday. I also generously burn this girl cd's with no charge whenver she asks.

so ya, would have done the same?

EDIT: also, I rememeber, when I was the only in one night. cuz the worker didnt show up for his shift. so I called up 'shelly' and right bewfore I was gonna ask her she sed "im not coming in tonght if that's what you're gonna ask" i sed 'why" she sed 'i just got home from my other job and im tired"

so the next time i see her at work, im gonna bring that up, to support my reason.

ya the thing is, i usually dont, if it;s my co workers or my work calling, but I wasnt expecting this, cuz I did just work this morning

I usually wouldnt have answered the phone, but I didnt know this was gonna happen
