Xbox troubles... hard to believe right (sarcasm)? -

Ok well I just got my 360 back from being repaired and it still continually gives me disk read errors. I called customer service who said they would put a rush on the shipping to get repaired sooner this time. However, I was reading a solution on xbox's site and they said remove the Hard Drive and try playing...and its working now. They said delete all ur saved games for the game that is freezing. My question is should i delete the saved games and forget about sending it to get repaired. or send it to them and dont delete my saved games? Do you think the problem will persist if i just delete the save files?

Well, if your gonna send it anyway, might as well save the data. Is the sending free?
Also try an external memory to copy the files, if thats possible.

yea sending it is free. Just that if the problem is with the hard drive, they only look at the console so theyll never see that the problem is with the hard drive.

I called again last night and one of their guys told me to hit "X X LB RB XX" in the memory screen on the dashboard. He said it would clear the memory cache or something and it seemed to have worked. Im wondering if thats just a temporary fix? He said i may have had a corrupted save file or something, but who is to say i wont have one again?

and no bean the "X X LB RB XX" is a good method, it clears cache of the games that has been created and wipes all the updates.
i had same problem with project 8 intially but cleared the cache and it worked fine.
