It can increase the performance of your video card, which in turn increases your FPS.

But be careful. you can make your video card unstable thus hindering your FPS.

This will also increase the temp. on the card. Make sure you have adequate cooling inside your PC.

Take baby steps to see where you hit your sweet spot.

Increase it by about 5 mhz, and then play a test game of MOHAA. Repeat until it's unstable, or once you get to about 30mhz above the original speed.

You download some software. I wouldn't know what to use for Nvidia cards, but for my Radeon 8500, I use Rage 3d Tweak.

A sledge hammer.

Von - you will not get too much out of that card. I was only able to get minimal out of my GF2pro, but it is better than nothing. I used a program called riva tuner. Make sure you have the latest version of detonator drivers (30.something) also. Like someone else said, take it in small steps and back it down when it max's out the video card. It may take several days to tweak.

Huh? Several days? It only took me about an hour.. Anyways, if at some point your computer crashes or freezes up, just bump it back down some.

Maybe I'm more patient than you, or maybe less. I just bumped it up 5 everyday and left it. I did that everyday until it crashed and then went back a couple settings. No reason that you couldnt do it in a hour or so.

It doesn't really matter. As long as you test it out and make sure it doesn't crash.

COOLBITS IS WHAT U DOWNLOAD FOR NIVIA CARDS. Its justa redgistry patch that allows for u to change the clock speeds. When u install coolbits, right click desktop, properties, settings, advanced, your card name, additional properties, then clock frequencies. All you from there.....

Very well said. My GForce 4 4600 comes at 300 and 660. It runs stable at 330 and 730. I might be able to get a little more out of it but really why. bigzooka:

I was able to tune my gf2pro to 225 and 401. Original was 200 and 320, so I got a 12.5% and a 25% increase. If that was direct relationship with my fps (I know it isnt), that would bump my 30 fps to 33-38fps. Probably not enough to make a difference. Now some of the gains I have seen on some processors are pretty incredible. My buddy was able to oc a 1 gig thundrbird to 1.4
