Two questions, here goes...
1. Is there a way to make a server-side mod that assigns weapons, like...
2 MGers per team at most
4 SMGers per team at most
2 Shotgunners per team at most
1 Rocket at most
The rest get rifles
Just an example of what I'm talking about.
I don't think it's possible but no one thought getting a custom vehicle to work was possible either.
2. Just wondering if there is a way to get it so that you can see the bullets flying at you, like on the SP game. I tried editing some junk and putting a little thing into my autoexec.cfg, but still no luck.
Help if you can...

umm, interesting quetions
1. i'll have a look at tomorrow ... not promising it can be done (coz i think i'll need the sdk to do it).
2. ... never thought about it before, prob is possible (unless it's hard coded out of the mp games [in which case i'll need the sdk again] )
oooo i can't wait to get my hands on the source code :-)

That would be possible if the Force team selecion worked with some extra commands you could force class selection tru the server CFG.
About the tracers Mpowell has made a tracer mod rather cool to :)
Should be out soon when he finishes it.

Wow, this is amazing, allthough i have no idea how to got about it, I was just thinking the same thing, Like although there was always the SMG companies and such, not everyone ran around with heavy machinene guns.
This idea should be pursued though.

As for #2, I read over at the modding theater that someone had them working in mp. Not sure how they did it but they're supposed to be publishing it as a mod soon. Its been a while, but if I remember, you had to use one of the gun turret weapon classes to get the tracers.

CK, while trying to make the MG42 usable i ran into a problem. It seems that no matter what i do, there are only 6 weapons allowed choosable. I could get the MG in, but it automatically knocks out another weapon( no matter how hard i edit the menu and every single file that has weapons mentioned in it).

The association between the tiki file and the weapon is hardcoded in the game, so the maximum number of weapons is what is currently in the game. When the source code comes out, we can address this (but it may be a moot point - the new weapons in the expansion may be in addition to the weapons available now....maybe EA changed it).

Ok now, what are you people saying about this tracer? You aren't talking about changing the color of the tracer are you, that has been done by MPowell1944 already. What I'm saying is for you to be able to see the bullets coming at you with all weapons, not just the MG42 (which you can already). I'm sure it's possible and if someone is making it now that would be cool.
