Ill b connecting to the 8th Marines Server and it kicked me for having a badword in my name.. my name was A NeW NiKe ShoE and i got kicked for having a badword in that ...

Well, if it's something of that's considered bad language, then it's not really that stupid. Admin's are trying to clean up their servers and make it enjoyable for everyone.

However, I don't see why you were kicked, Redneck. That just doesn't make sense. And I don't see scrotum as being a bad word either. The 'F' word or racial slang or even homophobic slang is definately a different story. I give no tolerance to someone who's that immature to use a name that's demeaning to other people.

BTW, I love this whole admin thing. Feeeeeel the POWWWWEEERRRRRRRRR!! heh evil:

you may want to email the game server's host. I know sometimes autokick has a spasm and does some strange things.

Some times it's a admins mistake. He added a word to the filter my mistake.

Yeah, this guy didn't get kicked for "CROUCHING NEGRO STOLLEN WALLET" guess they didn't have autokick, or that wasn't offensive. I mean, if he was actually black, for some odd reason, I wouldn't find it so offensive...but, if he's not black, people, and I, would find it more offensive, and racist.

Remember guys, autokick is not that intelligent. It only can kick people,
with words that have been entered into autokick that come up in a players name
If someone's ping is set over the limit ( limit X number of scans )

It's also an evolving thing. I use to have more words but people with assassin were getting kicked. So I removed some words.

The admin needs to find a balance.

Actually, I've been tracking every person who has ever fragged me since May 11, 1987. I programmed these into Autokick, and now my revenge on number A5848589Bc-e983 (aka A NeW NiKe ShoE) is complete! I told you that you would rue the day, Mr oh so bright and shiny new shoe!

Uh-hum.

Out of the box, Autokick has only two things in its 'bad names' filter. They are the two most profane utterances in the English langauge: the F word and Barbara Streisand. The admin has to first turn the filter on and then add their own words to the list in order for someone with the name "A NeW NiKe ShoE" to be kicked.

The word Scrotum is assocaited with the male sex organ and believe it or not is considered unacceptable in some circles. angel:
