BFG and eVGA are concidered the 2 best manufactures. I'd highly recommend that you get a GT, but those are probably out of your price range

I got the evga 128 Mb 6600GT

I got mine for 159.99 with 20 dollar rebate

its now 139-20 MIR

AGP cards will work in an AGP Pro slot. Nothing was ever made to only work in an AGP Pro slot though.

Trying to upgrade my PC and keeping it under 600 bucks. These are the things I whipped together so take a peek and give me some comments on it. Anything not on there I don't need.

You video card link links to a A64 3200+.

Don't get the 256MB 6600, waste of money. Get a 6600GT 128MB instead.

What would be the best card for my computer...

AMD Athalon 64bit 3200+
I will also have 2 gigs of Corsair ram...

EDIT: I have AGP by the way.

What would be the best bet for a video card that would last a while with new games?

my friend is getting an DFI LANPARTY UT NF4 ULTRA-D AMD X2 939 nFORCE4 motherboard and a AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+.

depends how much your willing to spend, 6600GT or 6800 would be the better nvidia ones. Not sure about ATI though
