Everyone waits for this...does Pyro give it a thumbs up like Tribes and MOHAA or a thumbs down like mostly all other games on Pc besides stuff made by blizzard and bioware...

Well I have to say to go with doom 2 on my fav fps list....doom 3 is added. I found it to be a great game so far except for the repetitve gameplay...but even that doens't botrher me that much. Because of this I also believe what gamespot gave it as a score is correct...

eek:

Partially suprised by that, but as for repatitive gameplay gamespot saying that is bs because virtually every game there is you repeat the same shit throughout it, what makes doom 3 a special case in the final score being below 9 for something all games have. oOo:

The only really scary parts:

The footsteps in blood and a child says "follow me" And then "they took my ____" I didn't catch what it said.

The other scary part is when doors open automatically and it goes red and says "over here".

I think the game would of been better if we went into playing it not thinking we were gonna be scared...you know so everything will be a surprise...like the end of sixth sense and shit.

I dunno, most people considered the original doom games to be scary for that time. Don;t think theres anyway they coulda kept it underwraps that it was kinda like resident evil, only way that woulda been possible would be not to release any media on it at all, not give interviews about it and not show it at e3 or any other pc game show. And thats the kind of publicity any game needs to suceed.

yeah, but that simple fact is why people are sometimes disappointed when they are lead to believe something that doens't fulfil the scariness they thought.

Like the movie the Village everyone expected it to be more than what it was etc.

I find the sounds more scary than the monsters jumping out at you.

Yea the sounds are really scary sometimes. The kid whispering stuff is pretty scary and satan laughing is pretty weird too. I agree with what gamestop gave it. Graphics equal best ever, sound is really good too. The game is longer timewise then a usual FPS so thats a plus but the multiplayer isnt anything special and usually you can only play with 3 others. There arent any total conversions for it and none that are in development that I know of so that is disappointing as well. On the plus side, no other FPS has put me through so much suspense and fear like Doom 3 has.

I cannot give an accurate review of this game until my uber slow down crisis is over.
