This is up and running.

This is not what I expected strik0r. This is very well done. You don't get the same full zoom as a sniper rifle just a very small zoom. I like it a lot

Oh and that line did not come out like I wanted. Not that I did not think you could do this. I was just under the impression, it was a full zoom.

The thing about this partial zoom on rifles is great. I don't see how it would be such an issue, especially for all you bf1942 guys out there. In bf1942 you can do a partial zoom on all weapons (except sniper where the zoom is full). I basically chalk it up to squinting your eyes to focus further away. eek:

Where can I get this MOD, Strik0r? I'd be willing to give it a try one or two nights a week on AAN.net.

that all depends on how it goes today. if everyone starts using nothing but the rifle or everyone uses them to take the place of sniper rifles then i may have to make adjustments.

i had an idea for a mod that might be kind of cool ... i was gonna ask you this morning but you left b4 i could get a chance. I think it would be cool to allow the player to run for short periods like in dod. I dont know if this is possible or not but would be nice for those long maps like crossroads and algiers ... just a thought.

oh be quiet, so i put a FEW too many 0s on the starting ammo

only bugs i noticed was it says sniped by when you rifle someone, i guess because of the zoom the game recognizes it as a sniper rifle. can't think of how to fix that one without editing the localization.txt

I like the mod. Personally I never use the rifle but I did try it.There are times when it will come in handy. I say keep it.

i've been trying to improve it, mostly along the lines of getting it to say rifled by instead of sniped by without changing the localization but so far no luck, currently the only change has been giving the KAR 85 starting ammo, it was at 60 which was the same as the sniper rifle

i was pleased with the results yesterday. not eveyrbody, but more people were using the rifle which was exactly what i was trying to do. also saw more SMGs than ever yesterday, i don't know if that was related or what.
