My specs are the same as yours except that my CPU is 1.4 ghz and my video card is a geforce 2 ultra. My game runs great with 60-80 fps in buildings and with 30-60 outside. Maybe you should update all of your drivers. Drivers can really affect performance.

[quote="ST_Bazooka_Joe":466e4]1) P4 1300mhz - This can be upgraded. Most likely, the CPU slot is the older 478 which only runs at 400mhz FSB. The newer slot, 423, runs at 533mhz FSB, and uses a different processor chip. I would suggest a new motherboard, either by Asus, Intel, or ABit, that has a 533FSB/Socket 423 P4 slot, and get a P4 chip of about 2Ghrz. The standard today is about 2.2Ghrz, so whichever you want. The highest is 3.06, but thats $700. For about $250, you can get a 2.5Ghrz chip.[/quote:466e4]

Bazooka I agree with you completely, except for one little problem, he has a DELL. So if he was to buy a new mobo he would have to get a new case and powerunit. IN my opinoin if you have to get a new mobo go the AMD route with an Asus A7N8X mobo and an Athlon 2400+. Then again I am an AMD whore evil:

I run MOHAA on my Dell laptop 1.0ghz, 512mb of ram, crap ass ATI video chipset with 16mb of ram. I have everything set to minimum in multiplayer and it runs fine. You might want to try to set to a lower video setting see if that helps. Oh yah..i agree with others about upgrading memory and increasing SWAP file. Dont upgrade the mobo or cpu yet, I dont think thats necessary. Altho, IMO i think ATI is a pos video card

I've got an Asus A7V8X, AMD XP2000, 256Mb DDR RAM, G4 MX 400 (64Mb DDR RAM). Didn't cost too much and the game runs perfectly.

Maybe you haven't updated your Spearhead yet?

Right you are, unless Dell would be cool as hell and send him a standard ATX Boiler plate for the case. And if he has a P4 already, he must have a P4-compliant, at least 300W power supply. So he might get lucky.
