why would you want an empty ammo box? its just an ugly green box.[/quote:afc98]

Great for storage, though. You can use it for so many things: storage, cooking food, or cleaning. In basic, we filled them with hot water, laundry detergant, and put our LBE belts in there to get the dirt out for turn-in. Worked like a charm.[/quote:afc98]

Yeah, then throw in some rounds, feed it into a group of oncoming Iraqis. Then, when they get hit, the will smell like a nice summer breeze instead of a stinking rotting corpse, it's good for morale and squeamish bystanders. cool:

For the ammo tin:

Get a bunch of spent .50 cal casings, and an ammo belt.

I have the same 5.56 ammo can. Holds 2000 paintballs perfectly. I love Army surplus stores, my brother says im like a kid in a candy store there. I look at everything and think about buying it as well. Sadly when i went looking i couldnt find an ammo can larger than the 5.56 800 rounder. I really wanted a .50.

Though it will be pretty funny to show up on a field with my m4 looking paintball gun and a 5.56 ammo can decked out in full cammo. lol evil:

You guys scare me.

I'm going to my local military surplus today, but to buy stuff that I need.

I'm going off w/ the weekend warriors for 3 days so I need gore-tex socks, compass, gloves etc.

Last weekend I had to sleep in the snow eek:

Nice idea about the lunch box.

At my school all the army cadet guys used to bring in their webbing, 1958 packs lol.

It was a strange sight to see all these school kids running round in uniform w/ army webbing.

But we did start a new fashion with it and soon everyone wanted some.
