We have done more for the French than they can possibly repay us for. We and the British bailed them out twice in the 20th century, and part of our going into vietnam was because the French fucked up there too. Well, they use a camo pattern that's very similar to the american woodland, but I dunno what they use support weapons wise, but I think they use the AAT, and if they did use the FN249 "minimi" I don't think it'd have an american pattern retractable stock.
