I don't get that.
What about Doom 2, Dues Ex, SoF, and GPW?!?!

The person who was cheating certainly had a blast in doing that,
EDIT: or so I think. why else would he do that mm? so it doesn't ruin the game. Uh-huh?

I think everyone would agree..if you want to use the cheats off-line-np. On line-not ethical.

Let me define cheat for you Manny:
Gain an unfair advantage by deception or breaking rules, esp. in a game of examination. A trick, fraud, deception.
Does 1 person's happiness during cheating, justify those that have not cheated and are legit? I read (at gamespy I think) an interview of a cheater who makes cheats for CS. He was asked why he cheated, and said he was bored at the game, and wanted to liven in up (or something similiar to that). So if he is bored, what right does he have to ruin the fun of millions of other people?
My definition of Online Cheating.
Cheats spread like a disease, a plague. There is no definent cure for it. There are those, like scientists, always working to find a cure to stop this madness. But alas, cheats, like influenza, comes in different shapes and sizes. Once one type is destroyed, another, in another form, or altered from before, wreaks havoc once again. Contageous, for some, those who do not cheat, angered and fustrated by cheats, are forced to cheat themselves just to catch up. But there are those immune to it, who withstand it, who do anything in their power to stop it from spreading. And in the end, the hard way (not cheating) is the right way. Cheats will be caughts, there will be a day where this profanity of online gaming will be destroyed. (Ok so mine was crap. )

Cheating will NEVER be destroyed or stopped.
By the way, I know who you're talking about. That's the guy who created the most-used wallhack and aimbot for CS.
When you're playing golf, you can get someone to controll a magnet underground to cheat the game. You're still playing by the rules. You don't touch the ball. You're doing exactly what you're told to. It's the guy who's handling the magnet that's cheating. So you're not cheating. Same with other cheats. Cheats are wrong, sure, but in one way or another, you're doing nothing wrong.

Because my momma is watching the game and I've gotta win to make her proud.
DUH?!?!?!!?!
I'm just saying. Cheating in games is the same thing.

you made the choice to download the cheats ... so your saying if someone does cocaine and dies its not thier fault??? their not the one who made em... someone shoot someone else in the head... the trigger that made the bullet come out is guilty.... dont look for excuses to explain ur suckyness. NO if ands or buts about it thier is no excuse for cheating... anyone who does it has absolutely no skills at all and only does it cause they cant kill any other way... these are the same losers who expect people to do thier work for em.. the losers of the world

I don't get how someone could say, "Cheating is no fun, don't do it!" Is there only one definition of fun in this world? Is "fun" something you decide? I play the game over and over, and once I find it boring. I throw on a cheat and run around having some God Mode Fun! Like someone said, it's your game, your money. You don't have to play the game for someone elses pleasure. Multiplayer cheating is a whole different subject.

We're not debating SP cheating, that's something you decide on.

I just gotta say, I have used the spead cheat to see what it was like, but then they patched it the day after, so my slay fest was cut short-erm, anyway, cheating isn't illegal.
It's un-ethical but that doesn't mean you're a faggot, a mother fucker, or a dumbass.
Most cheating are kids trying out the cheats then unintstalling them finding that they're stupid, or the ones that do like them keep them.
It's like warez, sadly...
I take a stance against cheating, but I don't try to bitch out cheaters either.
I'll just leave.

Cheating in multiplayer sux. Anyone who says otherwise is a belligerent fool. This is one example of things people do that hurt themselves. Cheating ruins the game for so many people that they get frustrated and stop playing (take CS as an example). Then the cheater has less people to play with, less support, less chances of a sequel, etc. And there's no going back. If the cheater gets bored with cheating, too bad because there will be so many other cheaters now.
The only possible solution I can think of is to have a club for non-cheating players. If you cheat, you get kicked from the club and can't play in club games. Club games are password protected. Club membership could require an email address, and be just enough of a pain join and take long enough, that these impatient cheating types wouldn't be able to stand joining again under a new email address after being kicked out.
