@Blitz:

Here's the [url=http://www.student.kuleuven.ac.be/~m9815423/mohaafiles/User%20-%20Realism%20-%20Ares%205.pk3:e943e]Ares5 realism[/url:e943e] mod.
A variant of the mod is the [url=http://www.student.kuleuven.ac.be/~m9815423/mohaafiles/User%20-%20%5bCIT%5d%20-%20Realism.pk3:e943e][CIT] Realism[/url:e943e] mod, which is used by our clan...

Enjoy!

Fox, do you plan on updating that for 2.15?

I have a Spearhead version of the realism lying around somewhere. haven't tried it on 2.15 because we all still play regular MOHAA biggrin:
I'll give it a try some time and update it if needed...

That would be great if you could update that for 2.15. We're currently running an AA and a SH server both with realism but sadly since every ladder out there only acknowledges CKR realism we decided to drop Ares5..Be nice to get some of that type of gameplay back in Spearhead since we dont compete in the SH ladders..

Well, here's an update to the realism mods.

1) There are two versions: the first one has "correct" rate of fire for automatic weapons, based on the actual ROF of each weapon. The second version, with "increased ROF" has all automatic weapons fire faster to give it a more realistic feel in-game (the game engine slows down all fire)

2) The PPSH normally has a 71-round drum fitted into it. I changed this into 70 rounds to be able to get a correct HUD display of the ammo bar. There's also a link to that HUD-correction mod; it's not necessary, but it make things look nicer...

|61st| ArchTool, could you give me the IP of your server? I'll try to stop by some time...
Also, if you have any requests for tweaks to the settings, just mail me at CIT_Fox@hotmail.com

Enjoy

Bit offtopic, but:

Is there a console command that shows which realism mods (.pk3's) are running on a server?

So that I can avoid realism mods I don't like (in my case CKR)?

Most of the time it's quite easy to figure out if CKR is running (lots of STG's, no(t a lot of) rifles), but sometimes I'm not sure (could be a mild CKR or something then).

Not sure if there's a way to find that out other than perhaps the server's name, but trust me you'll know an Ares5 server the first time you shoot your weapon. evil:

Then I have never been on an Ares5 server before, but it sounds interesting. You (anyone) know of any (AA) servers hosting it?

The [CIT] realism mod sounds interesting as well. Don't think I have experienced that either.

Since none of the ladders out there supported Ares we dont have a server for it anymore, but I just tested CIT's mod and its pretty much spot on with our mod, lol, except its been updated for SH...You should give their server a try.

I just tried to find it. Unsuccessfully. Is their server up 24/7? Do you remember the description or have the IP?

Our server is up and running 24/7 at 62.93.228.186:12204. It's the .:=[UFWC]=:. server (clan changed name some time ago...). The server is MOHAA 1.11, but runs CKR because, like ArchTool said, most ladders require CKR hake:. (Too bad if you ask me)

@ArchTool: tried to join your SH server, but it's full

Enjoy
