You mean either? Well, I used MACs in school and they were crap. The only thing you could do was play Hyperstudio or do some shit Typing Program. I've never seen the new macs, and I don't really want too.

PC - here is why.

The only argument for Mac over PC has always been a two-pronged attack.

A) Macs are more stable
B) Better for video/music editing

First, the stability issue:

With the coming of XP, and the advancement of Plug-n-Play devices, PCs have become much more stable for the everyday user (one who doesn't run a lot of tweaks). Since XP was released, and I installed it on my computer, the OS has never crashed. I've had to do one system restore from messing up a tweak. My friend's Mac, according to him, locks up regularly when his music editing starts getting intense. Mind you he spent over $6,000 on his system.

Secondly, the video/music editing:

This, contrary to what some people say, was always a Mac strong-point because of the software, not the actual machine. While yes, a Mac does have a 128-bit architecture, as opposed to a 32-bit architecture, the Mac has never really fully harnessed the potential therein, and has and still is held back by other components of the system, such as RAM. However, with the release of software such as Reason for the PC, Macs have dropped yet another rung on the ladder.

Now, throw in the lack of software, support from software publishers, and compatibility issues with peripherals, and you've got yourself one giant pain in the ass.

And let's not forget the problems with modding games oOo:

well, PC of course

My damn computer lab at school consists of ALL NEW Apple IMacs. Ghey pieces of shit. I put my floppy disk in to save my English Literary Analysis and come home to open the file on my PC. The document was corrupted and showed all Rectangles. Now i have to re-wrtie my damn paper.

AND YES, the program on the imac was a "word" program. The school got it for free i guess. I want to burn every MAC that i ever come in contact with.

PC, if you want stability for *gasp* actually doing work, you can always put Linux on a dual-boot partition. So you can go from gaming to useful work in one restart. (given that you know how to use Linux, which isn't that hard)

I am not a mac fan, I never could get used to the one mouse button concept and like someone already said PCs are upgradable.

You can't beat Macs for multimedia production...end of story.

For everyday computing and gaming, I'll take a PC.

If you want to design anything, MAC's are a much better solution. Yes I've worked with both. However for home users, I don't think you can beat a PC. Upgrades, available software and ease of use, the PC eats the Mac up in the home department.
