Most of the 30 man squads who landed on the beaches at Normandy carried mainly Garands (if they didn't sink to the bottom of the Channel) or Thompsons or M1 Carbines. Each group typically had a BAR or two but snipers were fairly few and far between as far as I know.
When it comes to that level, I'll be sticking with my Garand.

"Complaining...about everything...
Shotguns, Sniper Rifles, Bazookas...blablabla. It's getting dumb."

Not really "Complaining...about everything"
But what about the object in the game(omaha map)?
It is to "Charge & destroy the guns before times up."
Not to wash your feet on the beach with a sniper rifel.

The big problem is that almost ALL the allied use the sniper rifel.
Maby 2 or 3 charge!
And the Axis geting angry and Charge the beach and boats.

Dont you guys see somthing wrong in this??

Should not this BIG HISTORICAL map be played in more realistic way?

I think it would be more fun if I know I had to really fight hard to get to that gun if I was on the Allied team.
And if I played Axis I would think it would be more fun to use the Machinguns for more then just 2 sec... then go ShhhooPOFF!!, The Axis team gets angry and Charge the beach to kill the snipers in the boats and water.

Hmmm..I never heard War stories about the Axis Storming the SEA?
Or have I mised somthing during my history lesons.

Im I wrong or should I start playing Tetris insted?

Im not Complaining, I love this game, and thats why i want to tell you whats its gonna be on that map, if someone dont do anything about it.

I think it's a valid concern. Omaha with sniper rifles would be dull.

Anyone who disagrees with that needs to try running up the road in the hunt as an ally and survive.

It'd be futile. No matter how you move it's not hard to snipe a moving target if you have enough time to line it up.

Be tough to limit each team to an amount of any weapon, cos each game has a different aount of players. Tough one for 2015 to call.

It's still something they need to sort, though. I, for one, don't want to be forever downloading (or looking for servers that have downloaded) mods. What a mess the servers will be if modifications to the game aren't done universally.

I can tell without even trying it that the Omaha map would be much more fun without sniper rifles.

Don't need to DL the unofficial version of the game to work that out.

Sorry, I just think any jokes featuring Bush are funny.

But anyways, the more people play, the less they'll use the sniper rifle. That's the way it went in Day of Defeat. I have no worries.

with the full version of moh being mainly big maps (so ive heard)

the sniper rifle needs to be nerfed, someone mentioned RTCW which has a very good sniper rifle, as it isnt so damn easy to use

less power, harder to use, perhaps making you slow as hell with it.. something

The game does need limits on weapons, mainly Rockets and Sniper Rifles and Grenades.

LOL, yea theres bitching, but then there are morons that think they know what they talking about. So stop being morons.

I think he is saying for game balance sake maybe limit snipers. Its the same thing that happened in DOD's omaha map, snipers hiding in the water. We will have to see how it works next week.

yeah...on the beach Map of RTCW...snipers own...the only things that "challenge" them are the sway in scope mode, and the axis LT's that can binoc arty srtike near them...

are airstrikes going to be avail???
If not this map is going to be pretty much useless as the allied snipers will have an advantage over the axis side....I just want the game to be fair..and not biased to one side.....

I find it hard to believe that there are no descent places forthe axis to snipe the allies on this map. A good point that was brought up was that if the Axis wait for the allies to come into the trenches with smgs they will have a decisive advantage over the Sniper rifle packing Allies

I have played the Omaha map with 18 players, and the sniper rifel just makes the game really boring.
The Allied team just camp on the beach and sniper every one of that shows there face in the bunkers.

so much for that hard beach landing.

And about the objectivs, u can just stand their and wait next to your Canon and go and make some food or watch TV.
If you dont like to get kill in the bunker

WHY???

Almost all in the Allied team will be sniper.
So there is not much of a fight on that map.
If you dont like to be a sniper in water or a boat thats it.
