It's called Fragging, my Uncle was part of the 1st Cavalary, he worked with, and fixed chopper helicopters, he was also a normal soldier, went on gun runs, and sweeper missions, guard duty, and he fought.

Totally off topic, but my uncle was in Vietnam and he told me a funny story.
He was staioned at a firebase somewhere over there. anyways, these guys had to take the 50 gallon drums of shit from the outhouses and haul them to the dump to be buried. He said they got lazy and just hauled them to the edge of the clearing where they proceeded to blow up the shit cans with explosives. The shit apparently blew all over the surrounding jungle canopy and when the wind blew the whole base reeked of shit.
The solution to get rid of the smell? They called in a napalm strike to fry the trees of all the human waste that was covering them.
Needless to say, the guys that created that mess lost some stripes as punishment.

I think the US refused to sign the latest ban or something oOo:
why do we need mines , we basically smash anything that moves from the air now anyways.

I dont think they banned them. I was watching Mail Call and they talked about this new type of land mine that can find a target and shit and then pack up if its not used.

We should ban them as well, I mean when was the last time a country fought us with human wave attacks? Vietnam? We needed them back now now we have the technology to just obliterate any human wave stuff.

I think they should also ban the use of bombs, rockets, missles, explosives, poisions, guns, knifes, swords, projectile launchers, and any other lethal weapon. Then arm each soldier with the latest version of the technilogical masterpiece, a rock. Then gather all the soldiers from each country and put them in a giant arena and have them fight until every country, except one, surrenders.
That is the future of warfare.

I think I saw that one. Wasnt it an anti armor mine? IF I recall the mines are magnetic and have a small computer that scans the target. If it registaers as enemy they will blow it up but if it come back ans neutral or enemy it disarms and wats for a target. Anyways. Mines are bad. Should htey be banned? I dont know. SO what they kill pople. so do grenades, and artillery, and missles. all of those usually have at least one misshape that kills a civ.

I see nothing wrong with using anti-tank mines to blow out tank tracks or even APCs. War is war, and even with the Geneva convention, soldiers do not follow the uniformed code that they are to abide by in war.

yeah, but anti-tank mines don't blow up unless an at least 20 ton vehicle rolls over them, we're talking about the pesky anti-personnell type that are triggered by soldiers, women, small children, dogs, cats and just about anything else that moves on the ground.
