23 is too old? Thats like the perfect age, no?
You can't go overseas unless your 18, so 18-30 year olds are the perfect choice.

i think they grab the youngest ones first, plus im in college. i dont know how it works nowadays, they havent used the draft since the vietnam war. i would think they would revise the qualifications this time. maybe i am in the preferred range. either way, you have to strap on some extra balls and do your duty.

How many US troops are in Iraq? 180,000 maybe? I don't think you'll need a draft. Perhaps for homeland protection while all reservists go to Iraq, but I highly doubt any draftee would see action overseas.

I'm just speculating. I don't live in your country so I have no idea. I hope you guys don't have to draft. I think that would be a shame. If pres Bush had to do that he'd be in way over his head, and never get re elected.

I said months before the war with Iraq (and Im sure its posted somewhere here) that if we were to goto war with Iraq, and South Korea, no doubt the draft would be put back in effect.
If things remain the way they are now, I can see the draft coming into effect somewhere along the line of 4 to 6 months.

we have troops in afghanistan and iraq so far, but if we go into korea, i still dont see us using a draft because i dont think we would be occupying them like we are in iraq. but i dont know, where else are we looking at? iran, syria. if we start spreading all over the place, then yeah, we'll be putting on uniforms pretty soon. i would guess in the next two years.

[quote="Sgt Stryker":c07c6]meh, I can't take the antrhax and smallpox shots anyway, deadly allergy to that kind of stuff.
If I could I would probably be flying Harriers for the USMC[/quote:c07c6]
Why can't you take vaccines?
They inject the dead virus into your system, so you build up a mini army of cells to fight it, that float through your bloodstream until they have a real virus to fight.

Our Army alone is over 500,000.And that isn't including the Navy, Marines, and Air Force. I seriously doubt we'll have another draft.
