i look at some reviews in my pc gamer magazine, they usually have the same expectations that i do. if you want a review about a pc game, the best thing would be to download the demo, check your friends opinion, and look around on the internet. if its a console game, i would rent it, borrow it, or check out some reviews online.

as for nintendo, i think the NES and SNES were among the best console systems ever made. the gamecube sucks because the only two game i wanted to play on it were totally ruined (metroid prime and legend of zelda: windwalkers).

Ive never played metroid but from others opinions its one of the best games for any console in the last year. Zelda...ive never really liked, i got it with the console and only played it for about 5 minutes. "adventure" games usually bore me pretty fast.
