Les Paul should get a honorable mention, for inventing the electric guitar in these lists |

Steve Miller was taught by Les Paul. Steve miller may not be that talented, but i think it sounds good, nice simple riffs.
Cold, no Vaughn?
The guy is god. Next to Jimi. |

 | cold, the guitar community shakes their heads in shame because of you. Page and Vai are the only good guitar players on that list...i bet you havent heard Satriani, based on the fact he isnt up there, when he taught Steve Vai. John Petrucci is 1000x better than Hammet and you know it, anyone would agree with me, and you better not say "i've heard Dream Theater before" because you havent, unless you own all their cd's like me, cuz each cd is different and has its own style. now YOU "stfu" and go listen to your shitty music you ignorant, close-minded fool.

and i hope you dont mean Kerry King, Kerry King sucks beyond belief. |

Also, there are many more technically skilled players than Hendrix. His strengths were originality and feeling put into the music, not technical ability. I still love his stuff though. |

IMHO Hendrix is not the best guitarist. He had a completely diferent style, approach, and sound than anyone that was playing at the time. And I would think this list is a most influential rather than whos the best. Even thought Kurt Cobain is like my idol I know he should probably not be in the top 20. I wont list who I think should be the top 5 b/c it changes everyday. One day Vaughn woul pump out some kick ass riff then the next he would be beat by say Joe Satriani. The guitar player world is ever changing and there is no best player of all time. |
