Any of you people played the Thief games?
Those are the most atmospheric and chilling games I've played, only to be played in the dark with headphones on to the maximo.

I Hope Thief 3 carries on from the quality and legacy of the 1st two, I'm sure it will because the graphics look incredible so far.

Doom 3 will be very special indeed altho my current PC set-up may not even make it to the game's Menu screen oOo:

LOL, i have two words for you THE BONEYARD. Remember that level? I blew up my colonoscopy bag when I played that level. You are right about that series, the atmosphere of that game is so chilling, I can't play it w/o having someone near me. The best part of the Doom series is hearing the grunts and growls of monsters hiding around the corner.

I have no doubt the game will be incredible.... but replay value after the first little while may be extremely low. MUltiplayer has support for only 4 players as of now. Im sure though the first month of this game will be one of the best experiences of the year single player wise. Im looking towards Half Life 2 to supply that online need while Doom 3 can satisfy the single player one. "Although both should be great in every way. biggrin: |

RTCW scared me... I hated that zombie level in the crypt. Although I had my speakers loud and played in the dark in my bedroom so that's what made it really scary... |

The ability to suspend reality and immerse yourself in the game really helpswhen you want to feel a certain way when playing a game: to my misfortune,
I've mastered that art. As a consequences, many soiled pants had to be burned
so as to destroy the evil spirits within!

Looks scary. I'm sure if I played at night with the lights out, I'd jump a few times. |

Extermination.. I will have to look for that since all games I've tried to date have failed to scare me.
*EDIT* Actually Bioforge was scary.. how you could tear off this guys arm at the very beginning and beat people dead with it!
