That shit is seriously fucked up. You would think that after all the attrocities that were commited in WW2, Vietnam, and terrorism, 'civilized' peoples would know not to take part in this kind of behavior. I support the war on terrorism and supported the war in Iraq, but once you take a prisoner, you are responsible for that persons safety and well being. There is no excuse for what is going on in gitmo, and I have no doubt the administration will deny any and all claims of this.

Notice how everyone caught fighting/training with the taliban or alqueda
were always in Afghanistan "just learning about islam" or some other
innocent pursuit....there's two Aus. citizens there, both were armed and
on the move with taliban forces, one was "looking for a school for his sons"

I find that strange as well,
if you want to learn about Islam wouldn't you go to Saudi Arabia?
1. its the birthplace of Mohammed and the location of Islam's holy cities
2. its more civilized than Afghanistan (ie. they have hotels and running water)
3. no "proven" connections to terrorism (even though I believe that place is the real source)

Thats fine, I dont believe in some of that bullshit either, but they are prisoners now. Soldiers had the chance to cap their asses earlier, but instead they took em prisoner. Once you take prisoners, you are responsible for their safety and should be held accountable for what happens to them. They are no threat when they are under lock and key so what the fuck is the point of beating them? It sounds like a bunch of pussy ass jailguards who werent badass enough to sign up for a combat role, so they get their kicks beating up prisoners. This shit really makes us look bad.
