spr was more hollywood-esc of a movie.

shindlers list was way more dramatic and doesnt try to glorify anything.

I must say one benefit to SPr was definatly Tom Hanks.

Though Liam Nieson is exceptional as well.

These movies dont really have much in common except that speilbergo directed it and its set in ww2. but if i had to make a choice on which on to watch, i would watch saving privat ryan. if i had to vote on which one is better, i would say schindlers list.

SL was one of those movies that made step back and see what life is really about. Its not about becoming wealthy and rich and powerful all the time. Sometimes its about caring about other people in the world and coming to the realization that doing whats best for you and whats best for other human beings are not always the same thing and you may have to put a little back in the system to live with yourself. One of the most emotional parts was at the end when he wish he could have done more and he was a true man and a good person. Damn fine movie. Was this a true story?

[quote="Sgt Stryker":15a52]I never liked SPR, in my opinion it portrayed the Rangers and Paras as a bunch of damn n00bs at the end:

"oh look, 20mm cannon coming, let's stay on this DEAD tiger and wait to get blown up" annoy:

and of course the new dreaded "Panzer" type tank that they invented has now infected most WWII games and the lexicon of dumbass gamers.[/quote:15a52]

Portrayed the ss as noobs as well. Oh look 2 americans firing a .30 cal machine gun from that 6 foot wide hole, lets all just walk like tards into the fire oOo:

I will say Schindler's List, A film about the germans point of view, and it actaully shows a good idea of what happened during the holocaust.

That reminds me, I gotta pick it up on DVD soon

The Pianist. Now that was a very sad but "good" movie. during the first hour or so i wanted to jump into the movie and kill all those fucking nazi bastards. espically when those SS fags thew that old man in the wheelchair out the window. or when that jewish girl asked "Where are you taking us?" and got shot in the head. also the part when the SS officer told those 9 jews to lay down on the ground, he shot 8 of them with his luger. when he got to the 9th one he was out of ammo, so he had to reload, while the 9th jew was just laying there knowing his fate... then the officer shot him in the head. its soo fucked up its not even funny. Everybody should watch "The Pianist" atleast once.
