Yes, that is my understanding. I dont think its funny at all. In fact, I think it shows how fucking retarded our military is if our troops are going around a town they just shot up and posing civilians like war trophies while making sick and crude jokes. Im all for giving our countrys military the benefit of the doubt, but its circumstances like this, combined with stories of POWs being brutalized and videos of taxicabs being run over by some fucked up tank crew that are displaying a negative and cruel image of our country. Our nations leader told the world that we were going in to remove Saddam from power, that we were helping the Iraqi population by bringing them freedom. I truly believed that and I knew the WMD story was bullshit from the get go. But its shit like this that make me second guess this hole charade. Im starting to think that we should never have gotten involved at all if our troops are behaving like this. Its really shameful if this turns out to be a real photograph.

I can understand where you are coming from , but you do know that the average statistics for an American soldier is:

Age: 19
Sex: Male
And fresh out of High School.

I don't know many Teenagers that are very mature, especially when it comes to a joke.
As a vet myself I can assure you ALL soldiers take thier jobs seriously, but in certain situations a bit of comic relief goes a long way.

I highly doubt the picture was taken for public viewing or by anyone other than the soldiers buddy. It is one mans joke shared by him and his close friends and not grounds to judge any armed force or group of soldiers by.
