I've heard stupid comments in my life and this is up there with them. Lets see a guitarist or drummer rap. Anyone can pick up a guitar and make sound, anyone can bang on drums, anyone can yell lyrics. It takes skill to play guitar, play drums, and rap. Granted todays mainstream rap has forced good rap into an underground sub-culture, there still is plenty of excellent hiphop being made. Just gotta know where to look.

Nelly isn't hiphop - He's new-hop, or hip-pop. There's a lot less focus on lyricism, and even lack thereof, so it can hardly be called 'rap,' because there is little actual rap. That music basically serves as music to dance to, with the beat being the basis - I'm fine with it, but I don't credit it as rap or even hiphop....It's an entirely new genre.
