Besides the suggestions of my fine colleages, I would suggest the following guidlines:

Don'ts

. Don't choose a clan name based on a military unit, expessially a unit made famous in WWII. The reason for this is quite simply there are hundreds...if not thousands of clans, squads, groups who already doing this very thing.

. Don't select a name because you think it is a funny or "spunky" name. Your humor is not universal and most will regard you as a joke...

Do's

. Be original, pick a name and tag that is not already in use. This is not gonna be easy, so spend the time to look around at different clan titles and tags. Start in Gamespy/ASE then do a Google search, and hit http://www.clanyellowpages.com

. It may be easy to create the clan and name based around a specific "theme". ie: if you were to use, lets say Phoenix in your clan name, you could use the mythological creature in your graphics and logo.

if you dont get it, its onstar. a few people liked it, some didnt. i wouldn't use it now though.
