Is it supose to be a bunch of dots? When I open it thats all I see. When I zoom out it looks okay but when I click actual size, its all dots.

the whole picture is like 30 pages or however big you made it, so you can't really see it. the dots are what make the picture. look close and its just a bunch of dots. put the pages together and stand back and you see the whole thing.

i tried months ago, didnt work, and now I sitll can't get ti to work properly. every image is just dots (and dont give me this "it looks better once you put it all together"). those images in the gallery are almost exact replicas of the original image. how the fuck do they get it to be like that?

they are dots. The best you can do is make the settings so the dots are the smallest possible (i think there are options like 10 mm or something like that)
